Why would it bother anyone if athletes use an international stage to speak their peace? Freedom of speech should not bother anyone.

The post you responded to was an answer to the question you posted in response. Read it again.
But to humor you, would you be cool with an American athlete using the platform of international sports to promote, say, white supremacism? I daresay you would not. There's a time and a place for people to exercise their freedom of speech, and standing in front of the entire world representing the United States is not it.
