In this new CFP system, is it important that either team wins their Conference Championship Game? If might mean a seeding issue, but would those two teams sit their better players and not risk injury once the playoff is guaranteed. Injuries in those game could cost you everything. The NFL behaves in that way.

With the 12 team playoff, it would mean a bye. Only conference champions can get one. That would matter more than say the SECCG last year.
UGA was in win or lose, that game really meant nothing for them (and they knew that before the game started since the SECCG was the last of the day). Last year it would have meant UGA being the 5 seed (with no bye) vs the 1 seed (with a first round bye). It would have mattered more.

There is no guarantee that a one loss OSU gets in the playoff. Though more probable, there is no guarantee that a one loss Georgia is in either. But, I’d love to see see either one rest their starters in the championship.

OSU still has to beat Michigan to get to BIG championship.

No written guarantee, but it is guaranteed both will made it. That is the problem with releasing the rankings in November, we know what the Committee is thinking.

Georgia wants to be No. 1 so we can play in the Atlanta in the semifinal. That's all I know!
