I think Saban recommended Nutt at the time because he wanted a placeholder if the job with the Dolphins didn’t work out. I don’t know if he has a genuine interest in helping LSU in this search but I don’t believe he has any conflicting reason not to. He is a mentor to Kiffin even if their personalities seem to clash. If anything, I think there is a part of him that doesn’t mind seeing Alabama falter if his ego and legacy are boosted. Even better if at the hands of someone from his coaching tree. Just my uninformed 2 cents.

I would hate the hire. I think what we are seeing now is that with the changes in NIL, you need to hire a coach that can relate to the players and motivate. I don’t think Dabo is a bad coach, but his style is outdated. Not only that, but he is neither an offensive or defensive expert. It’s too hard year after year to keep an excellent offensive and defensive coordinator. Get a coach that can lock down one side and spend to get the best coordinator you can afford on the other side of the ball.

Imagine 30 years later you’re getting close to retirement and your crazy ex wife decides to have the baby and hit you with child support. I realize that won’t be the case here but still kinda wild to think about.

He would have known if he actually stopped to check on them. Drove around the crash scene and fled. You’re trying too hard. Unless what’s being reported is inaccurate, his behavior is pretty indefensible.

If guilty will probably end up like Henry Ruggs and never play ball again. Sad for the families impacted and for seeing a guy with so much potential throwing his life away like this.

You sure? I read before the game that the Raiders are likely the only team other than the Bears that we would potentially pass if they won.
I swear if we could have got a pick 6 and found a way to win because they tried to set the record it would have been worth the loss of 1-2 draft slots.

My concern with Flacco is that they get ahead and run Jonathan Taylor the whole game. Out of the options mentioned I like Stafford better but yuck.
Bryce young out of that list. He’s been playing well and scored rushing touchdowns 3 of the last 4 weeks. Tampa is a good matchup. Some bad weather predicted that may impact the game so probably worth keeping an eye on.

Kraft IMO. Hard to trust Pitts and no telling what target share will look like with Penix starting for the first time. Plus, saints D is a better match up than the Giants.
Honestly this isn’t the same as those days. This team is playing hard but it is difficult to win when your entire team is hurt like they have been.

Maybe. But how is that different than what every other school has to deal with? It’s not like it is a problem that is unique to LSU. To me it speaks more to what kind of locker room and culture you have and whether your kids are bought into what the program is doing.

Idk. What are the chances a cop skeets in muffins and his wife brings them to school for her students to eat? My wife was sexually abused by her step father and her mother was at the very least complicit. I would imagine it happens a lot more than you think. Lots of crazy, sick individuals in this world.
I mean, the Patriots don’t exactly have a great situation at WR and they are releasing him. He has degenerative knee issues also so I would pass.
