Aaron Murray Probably should have won a natty but had a lot of bad breaks

Love Mark Richt, but his inane decision to not spike the ball at the end of the 2012 SECCG cost UGA a chance to have two plays to try to score a TD to beat Bama.

Of course, we all know the 2012 SECCG was the real national championship game that year.

You realize that the last play had literally nothing to do with spiking or not? Not sure how psiking the ball would prevent bama's DL from getting a hand on the ball and tipping it.

It was 100% the correct call. We flew down the field in a hurry up and had bama on their heels and they couldn't stop us. We threw a fade to malcolm in the endzone to go win the damn game, a play that we'd been wildly successful on all season. One of their all-universe cyborg DTs simply got a hand on it and our WR did what all receivers do instinctually. I don't know why our fans have trouble sometimes simply tipping your hat and giving credit where it's due. We didn't lose that game by not spiking the ball.

And I guarantee you that even if we did spike it, and the results of the play happened exactly as they did, people would complain "we were flyign down the field with zero resistance, why didn't we throw to the endzone instad of giving their defense a chance to rest and regroup!?!? Damn richt!!"
