USC with 4 different QBs and no Lloyd in 2021 scored 21 TD / 7 FG in 8 league games.
USC with Rattler & Lloyd in 2022 has scored 19 TD / 5 FG in 7 league games.
Shatt offense will need 2 TD / 2 FG against UTK - just to match what Zeb Nolan, Luke Doty & the dude that can't get on the field at VT were able to put on the board last season.
here's the last 13 seasons PPG/SEC rank in league games -
2022 - 20.7 / 11th
2021 - 20.9 / 13th > Beamer
2020 - 23.5 / 10th
2019 - 19.9 / 10th
2018 - 28.8 / 6th
2017 - 24.5 / 11th
2016 - 15.8 / 14th > WM
2015 - 20.1 / 10th
2014 - 34.0 / 4th
2013 - 31.6 / 7th
2012 - 28.6 / 5th
2011 - 25.8 / 5th
2010 - 26.6 / 7th > Spurrier
there are 4 teams averaging over 30 ppg in league play this season. 2 teams over 40 ppg.
Beamer cannot 'miss' on the next OC coming in after the current OC's contract expires on Jan 31. if he misses he won't be coaching at USC when Texas/OU enter the league in 2025.

Can't tell if this is more of an indictment on Satterfield or Rattler

I'd lean towards Satterfield, but Rattler has been less than impressive as well. He struggles seeing the field and panics when the pocket collapses. That said, I also don't believe he's a good fit for whatever scheme it is we try to run. So, my blame falls all on Satterfield for not making the scheme work to his player's strengths.

Why not both?
