I'm willing to give White another year

I had been feeling that White should get a pass for this year until the Mizzou game, and then that feeling completely flipped after this past Saturday.

I don't expect White to go anywhere after this season, but games like Arkansas, Mizzou, and Florida have exposed that serious improvements must be made. It's not even fair to throw UGA in there. There is objectively little confidence that our D will be able to do ANYTHING to slow down Tennessee (even for one drive) and Clemson.

Someone on 247 also pointed out that we had numerous LBs who wanted to transfer in before this season, and White inexplicably passed on them.

And for the record, I'm not completely miserable over our program at the moment. I've been numb to Gamecock football for years but I am just aggravated that other fanbases know what it takes to express their displeasure, yet many of our fans care more about being seen as loyal than pushing for a needed change.

It might have been a space issue. I dunno. Not defending the man, just spit-balling. But LB is our most glaring weakness right now on defense (and why our run d has been awful the past 3+ games). I feel we have a solid O-line, serviceable, albeit young, secondary and awful LB's. When Mohamed Kaba went down vs Arky, our defense got ALOT worse.
