He was supposed to bring good coordinators with him when he was hired. At least that was apparently the selling point of making him our “CEO” HC. Aside from Lembo, he whiffed entirely.
It’s not that he made a few bad decisions with hiring his staff, it’s that he’s been so intensely loyal to them and keeps insisting that we, as fans, are incorrect about the product he’s putting out. It’s a major red flag and doesn’t leave much confidence he’d get it right the second time.

Was Clemson hampered by paying a major buyout to Bowden for several years? I actually can’t remember, but I don’t see how we can attract a respected OC unless we’re offering him at least $1.5 million in 2023.

I'm willing to give White another year, but Satt should've been fired last season. This year was an entire waste. We are severely lacking in talent on the back 7 plus our DL is poorly coached. Not to mention, our offense can't stay on the field to give our thin depth chart on defense a breather. None of that is a recipe for success. Offense has enough talent that we should be competitive in most games, yet we're not.

I give White a pass for a variety of reasons. Main reason being that outside of the WR group, our LB group has been the worst position on our team and he's basically rebuilding it from scratch. The last regime seemed to think if we had a good enough DL and Secondary that LB didn't really matter.
I think this is why the Kaba injury can not be emphasized enough and why we've been targeting higher end talent like Blanton and Howard.
No excuses for Satterfield whatsoever. He can pack his shite and leave yesterday.
