It probably is enough to protect against a lateral move. But, if he has a desire to be HBC again, no amount is enough.

Also gets nice bumps for SEC Champs, playoffs and Natty as I recall.

I have nothing to compare it to but that seems like a great contract for a coordinator. I imagine there are a lot of heads coaches that make less.

At 56, I would do that all day long over the stress and pressure of head coaching. With the benefits they get and roll UGA is on..ride that train and don’t head to greener pastures until you have to.

I don't know that he has a desire to be HBC.

The whispers the past couple of seasons have been going back to the NFL as an OC.

But he has done that twice already, and is smart enough to be picky about how he would do it again (defensive minded head coach with full autonomy of the offense).

Basically, doing what he does now at the highest level.
