Rebuild the overhead bunk

You boys got any advice?

I plan to rebuild everything except for the bottom layer of plywood that is glued to the skin. There is a spot near the front that is sagging and needs to be reglued to the metal frame.

Tips boys, TIPS!

Are you rebuilding or having it rebuilt?

Keep weight in mind, otherwise do what makes sense. My dad and I converted a stock promaster van last year and saved about $70k. Beauty is almost everything can be replaced at Home Depot or O'Reilly's.

I always say get rid of the dining table and rv fridge for an ac unit.

I only rent them but I can say the dinette is never used, meals generally eaten outside. Pretty much everything done outside. The camper is a glorified tent with a bathroom for us.

Looks real nice, why they put carpet in these things is beyond me. I had to remove it and put down parkay in my last my Aerbus.

Expensive RVs should have tile, middle of the road plank, and the low end, linoleum.

I suppose everyone needs something to throw out the window when Stetson throws an incomplete pass in the 1st quarter on the way to a 38 point beatdown.

Update:

Rebuilt the bunk. Glue didn't really come into play like I thought it would.
Turns out sinking screws into a light weight metal plate was a far superior method. I thought I would need both, but didn't!

I used a badass marine caulk on the entire thing. I will never use shite caulk again. Stuff was $30 a tube, but it lasted forever and was easy to apply. Also, the package says it can be applied underwater! Now that's fricking cool.

Rain in the forecast today. So I'll find out if I still have a leak or not real soon. Feeling positive at the moment.

I'm driving west in March. Doing grand canyon and all things new mexico/Arizona.

We did Yellowstone in a rental many years ago and I've owned a pop up camper ever since then.

It's basically more affordable vacations for a family of five.

I figured there was something else going on.

You’re driving along and there’s a sign for a “campground in 3 miles”, then turns out it’s just some dude that lets campers park on his property stacked up on one another next to the highway . There’s several camper communes near Fargo right on 441 that make no sense. Are you part of that branch?
