A couple of years ago when it started some worried there would be more injuries from the rb getting crushed in the middle. I'm not aware of that being the case but I would sure line big Jalen at rb and let him push a qb sneak a few yards if needed. I have seen a couple gain several yards. Usually don't like rule changes but I sort of like this

Not worried about a tb but worry a little more about Stet.

If we had to have a yard with the season on the line, I'm putting Bowers at wildcat and telling him to go get it.

Carter has already had an MCL injury this season. No interest in putting him in the backfield again.

I like the Bowers idea. Bear might be a good option, too

Largely prefer offense guys in that role. They get how quick you have to get out of the blocks.

We were heavy with Jalen last season in goalline.

I honestly don't think we need him there any longer.

We can play a neutral offense (12 or 22 personnel) and get the same push with Bowers/Washington on the perimeter.

Or we can go heavy in 12 or 13 and maybe unbalanced line with an extra lineman at one of the ends.

One podcast said we lead the country in rushing TDs. That kind of is a big deal.

If I had to have a yard I'd pack everyone in tight with Big 0 at the TE and Bowers at the wing. Then run the toss sweep lol.

Expand and contract.

It seems like Monken's MO this season.

Sports talk show mentioning this helped our run game last week. Monken knew the vols would concentrate on what we do on those sets and will have a different wrinkle or two.

Graham Coffey too.

It sounds predictable.
But dang if we don't have the horses to win the reps over and over and over.

Washington is our best blocker anyway.

Literally could switch to tackle and be a first round pick.

After watching Charles Grant, I believe, blow his knee out on a run play I'd prefer we don't do that with a defensive guy. Edwards is a hard downhill runner. Just let him do the job.

Absolutely. I do believe if we can contain the run with the front five and take a page from Pitt's book, while leaving the safeties back, I think we will be fine.

Not sure how much the safeties help as fast as their wrs are in space, better put them to work.
