This is Kirby's chance to prove he is Elite in 2022.
Beating everyone else on our schedule was basically a scrimmage, now its nut cutting time.

Ummmm, I for one believe that next weekend is a chance for the Vols to prove that THEY are elite. I mean guys aren’t we the F$&?#*% DEFENDING NATIONAL CHAMPIONS???

This will be the first game this season after Oregon that there is any perceived and significant challenge to face on the field. We were heavy favorites in all of our games and this has to filter into the mindset.
Let’s see how they respond to the TN media love and this idea that nobody can stop their offense. My guess is that both sides of the ball are going to step it up a notch as this IS for the East and the last step to the SECCG.

I don't know if we can get to the playoffs and will but I want our team to knock Tennessee down a notch off their fan's lofty heights.

This. The PTSD that some Dawg fans still suffer from is rediculous. No one likes to lose, but some people despise losing. Kirby is the latter.
DAWGS will be ready. They are elite.

The 2021 team proved they were elite by winning the national championship. How good that team was has no baring on this team. This team has lots to prove, and if Kirby and the team actually believes they dont have to prove themselves every game and that they are elite now, then we've already lost.
