vs FBS teams non-garbage time

Pts Per Drive
UGA : 4.02 (#3)
Tennessee : 3.92 (#4)

Available Yards Gained
UGA : 70.3% (#4)
Tennessee : 67.0% (#5)

Yards Per Play
UGA : 7.40 (#5)
Tennessee : 7.40 (#5)

Touchdown Rate (drives ending with TD)
UGA : 49.0% (#5)
Tennessee : 50.8% (#3)

And in reality they are basically the same, per the numbers. Georgia's offense is +16.3 better than average and Tennessee's is +16.0 better than average. So less than half a point difference.

Interesting, I'll be curious to see what your formula(s) predict as the outcome for that game.

As of today it is Georgia by 19. Would be Georgia by about 14 if it was in Knoxville.

It thinks Georgia and Ohio State are head and shoulders better than everyone else. We'll see, I guess.

I would take any team in that list over Clemson

Out of curiosity, have you checked what the formula(s) say about a Bama-Tenn rematch?

On a neutral field - Alabama +3.5

Back at Neyland - Alabama by +1.9

At Bryant Denny - Alabama by +7.7

Agree. Clemson is a good team. Clemson is not in any way a great team. Their defense is really good but not elite. Their offense is above average but far from great and not explosive at all.

I wouldn't be shocked if they lost at Notre Dame, but if they don't they are going to go 13-0 because they squeaked out the games with Syracuse, Wake, FSU and NC State and whoever they play in the ACCG will be absolute GARBAGE.

Ohio State or Georgia would beat them by 21+.

Just an interesting thought, I wonder if there is a way to look up how many of our explosive pass plays come off of scrambles and Bryce improvising? I think it's plain to see the majority of our big pass plays come from Bryce making things happen. That's a little worrisome to me.
