I had a lab rescue about 20 years ago and he liked to roll in poop and dead things more than any other dog I had. Had a Doberman / Great Dane rescue about 30 years ago and he like to get stinky all the time. My older hound stays pretty neutral and my younger hound is more smelly with rain and mud. Pretty OK other than that.

My German Shepherd is pretty neutral unless he gets wet, but we used to have a Bluetick and her musty smell was just perpetual. Dunno about other hounds, tbh. The Mrs. has all the dog knowledge in this house.
