When was the last time Tennessee beat a good, great or elite Alabama team?

So in the last 60 years only 1999 and maybe 1996 is the only year Tennessee beat a decent Alabama team.

1982 when King Johnny handed #2 Alabama an L and sent Bear Bryant to the grave 3 months later

Alabama's 1996 team was between good and great. Really physical, hard playing,good rushing team. Vols won, 20-13.

I wouldn’t classify this Bama team as elite or great. They’re pretty good with Bryce though. I don’t think they need him to beat an overrated little UT team though.

Bama will not win if Milroe is the starter. We have a chance with the Freshman if he has any passing skills, and will win if Bryce is 90% +
