Ole Miss delivered the BOOM in Atlanta, winning 42-0 in a non-competitive game against Georgia Tech. This week, we host Tulsa in our final tune-up game before welcoming Kentucky to Oxford to open SEC play. Our defense looks legit, and our running game is one of the best in the country right now. If the passing game can be efficient, we will be a tough out for anyone in conference play.

Mizzou. Hard fought win against an FCS team. That's a sentence that should never be written. Battle for the Bottom against the Auburn multiple mascot yellerfellers. Not sure who's a better football team, but their boosters look a lot meaner than ours.

Florida played USF in week 3. Without Ventrell Miller, the heart and soul of the defense, they gave up almost 300 yards rushing. That was insanely bad and ugly. What makes matters worse, Anthony Richardson is still doing his best Treon Harris impersonation. About the only thing UF has going for them now is a decent secondary and a good run game. But with incredibly bad play at QB and LB, there is only so much the rest of the team can do. I expect pain against Tennessee next week as they have several years of demons to exorcise against one of the worst gator teams I have ever seen.

Still early in the season, much to learn in the next 2 weeks

Alabama. We played ULM and there isn’t too much we can take away. It was mostly used to experiment with different lineups and plays. Next up is Vandy and it will probably be more of the same. Teams 3 through 10 could easily be swapped. I think it will take another couple of weeks for teams to separate themselves.

Kentucky gave it's typical meh performance against Youngstown State. The good news is the defense now has six straight quarters of giving up 0 points. Next up is Northern Illinois. Should be another good tune up before getting into the meat of the schedule. We still need better offensive line play, and a serviceable running game.

Survived Miami which is impressive considering 12 key Aggie players were out in Miami is expected to contend for a conference championship. Onward to face Arkansas, Who has struggled mightily with weak competition. Will it be a cripple fight? Or a battle of the ages between two decent teams that just haven’t seemed to be able to put it together yet this year?

quote:

Dawgs continue to look scary good; another snooze fest this week; kind of weird going so long without a compelling game...

quote:

Alabama cruised to a 63-7 win over Louisiana-Monroe. A lot of younger players were able to get playing time and that will help with depth moving forward. Next up is a surprising Vanderbilt squad that looks like they have righted the ship under Clark Lea. Regardless, Alabama should roll quite easily. If not, the Tide will have their fans in an uproar.

Arkansas: Survived another Petrino motorcycle crash.
