Seriously, it seems like the university and majority of your fanbase is a better fit for the Big 10. Do you agree? Due to all of the items you listed, it seems like you guys have a lot more in common/same issues with Minnesota and Purdue than say Arkansas and Tennessee.

Like Zou83 said, we’re just misfits. The only conference we truly were a fit for was the Big 8 and it’s not coming back.

Mizzou fans are fickle. If the athletic department had a done a better job replacing Pinkel and the football program had been able to sustain some of the momentum he had built, we wouldn't be having this conversation.

Mizzou needs to decide whether they are going to truly invest in being a football school. There has always been this half-in, half-out approach to big time athletics at Mizzou. It's plagued the program for 50 years now. But I don't think that it's a coincidence that Mizzou had record applications and enrollment during the Pinkel years.

In my opinion, Mizzou needs to apply a very simple "if you build it, they will come" philosophy. Go spend the money on a big time coach. Just write a blank check to the absolute best guy on the market. Hire Urban Meyer and overpay the everliving shite out of him, even if he does kind of make my skin crawl. Spend the money to improve the gameday atmosphere and the tailgating experience. Keep improving the stadium. Generate some excitement around the program.
