I noticed Bryce took off a few times for massive chunks of yards Saturday.

Do you bammers think that he’s been kind of given the green light on running if he’s smart about it?

Last season he was a lot more hesitant to do so. He rushed for more yards than all of last season in one game.

I hated seeing him run like that in game 1, the last thing we need is for him to get injured vs Utah State.

I think it makes Bama more dynamic. He’s slick enough to avoid a big hit by sliding or contorting his body right on the tackle.

By showing he’s willing to run, safeties and LBs will be totally mindfricked when he rolls out.

I think it was an anomaly resulting from Utah State's defensive gameplan. They were really aggressive up front trying to force the ball out early and avoid giving up chunk plays, but they were also playing man to man in the secondary and it resulted in several plays where a massive chunk of the field was completely vacated by the defense.

Yes, he is good at running. But he came to Bama already believing that he shouldn't run too often. However, if a team is going to leave 30 yards of open field in front of you, it would be foolish to not take off.

You take what the defense gives you.

This can't be stressed enough.

You take what the defense gives you.
