what really sticks out about the o-line the past yr was how slow they are out there stance. Its why they have no pop at first contact.Even-though I will say 55 looks better because he lost some weight, but he was always better out his stance along with Cohen out of the other linemen. Also Seth is much quicker at center than Dalcourt.

Guys, you see the rotation on OL? they were swapping LG and RG in and out of the game... Calm down.

We aren’t committed to the run. That’s the reality. And that’s ok when you’ve got stud QBs.

I mean we are in a 55 point game and our RBs have combined for 20 carries. OLs get better at run blocking when they are asked to do it over and over.

If a team puts up 55 points the OL did pretty good in my opinion

This, and when it broke down, the QB got 100 yds rushing

What will make some of you happy?

It is playing the hot hand. Bama didn't force the rush because it didn't have to. I saw WRs getting reps who I've never heard of.

Pick your poison. It's scheming and development.

What do you want. 55-0, which could have been worse, vs a defending D1 conference champ

It was Utah State. No one knows anything yet. This was a vanilla, front-page-of-the-playbook kind of game.

That’s the point - so where was the run game. It should have been easy to move those guys around

You only get so many possessions and the staff decided to pass the ball 40 times. Take away QB runs and we were 25 carries for 168 yards on designed runs. That’s almost 7 yards per carry. I’m not sure what would have made you happy?

I would have liked to see the OL have more push, but the playcalling surprised me. I thought for sure Saban would go full murderball in the second half.

I think what some people are concerned with is the lack of consistency. Even Saban talked about it in his post-game press conference. Yeah, when you take away the QB runs we still ran for 168 yards and almost seven yards per carry. HOWEVER, 58 yards of that came on one play when Gibbs went off. Take away that run and we ran it 24 times for 110 yards - minus QB scrambles. That's still a decent 4.5 yards per carry, but the inconsistency - especially between the tackles - was somewhat frustrating at times.

Could be better, little too much of a discrepancy between positive and negative runs. Held up in pass pro, Bryce likes to move the pocket a lot.

Robbie Ouzts got WORKED on that sack though.

This is my take as well.

We really don't know anything more than the fact we have fantastic skill postion players on both sides of the ball.

Next week we will learn about our interior DL and OL.

There is a rhythm to run blocking, and like I said above, we aren’t committed enough to the run to find it.
