You are speculating. He was a freshman so the notion that he wasnt hacking it at his current spot doesn't make any sense with it being his first year. Also he wasnt the only guy moved. C. Leary was moved there as well. Reggie Ragland was a starter and spent some of the spring at TE when he was here.

haha so you proved my point. You think if Leary didnt move to RB for a small while his outcome would be any different? And Reggie fits my example of sometime its not just about athletic ability. He obviously had more going for him then just that.

Most of these kids played multiple positions in HS so moving him around for a SHORT period of time isnt something out of the blue for them nor does it all the sudden stunt their growth at a single position. Hell Smitty worked at CB for a period of time as well, didnt seem to stop much of his growth at WR did it?
