98% of Mississippi recruits fall into two categories. They either commit out of state early and flip late or they are heading out of state until there's a knock on the door and a duffel bag full of cash appears on the porch ~8 hours before signing. The other 2% of the time the kid realizes that he can just take the cash and go elsewhere, because what are they going to do? Turn him in for taking their money and not signing?

At the risk of sounding like I am making light of what is happening in Jackson at the moment, there really is something in the water in that state that just draws people back to it. I don't really get it. Mississippi seems to be the one state that has been largely immune to an increasingly national recruiting culture.

I just saw where Phillip Webb entered the portal

I specifically remember Nick Saban being very high on him
