re: Why did CBS pay more money for second tier Big 10 games over SEC first tier games?

It’s about future potential and money. If that much money is invested sooner or later those areas will catch up with the SEC or surpass. That to me is the biggest reason the media pushed NIL. The conspiracy theorist part of me thinks those Yankees and west coast hippies got tired of us backwoods southerners kicking their asses.
