Gators gonna open up a can on the Utes.

Utah was a very young team and almost everyone comes back.

UF was a pretty bad team with awful management and while a lot of the team returns, not nearly as much as Utah. Not to mention the hump of a new coach in his first game.

Having spent my four years in Gainesville I will admit the heat absolutely sucks but it's not the gamechanger a lot of southerners think it is. Game is at, what, 7 p.m.? It'll be humid but not especially hot. They get Gatorade on their side, too.

I expect UF to lose to Utah by 7-10, but beat Kentucky. UT is more of a toss-up to me this year. A good coach can pull a team together after a loss to a big team, as Urban Meyer did after Bama shellacked the Gators in 2005.

I moved from Arizona to Gainesville in the summer. At the time I was training triathlons.

What I remember is that the transition was tough because it was so different. There just isn't any way Utah can simulate what Gainesville is going to be like.

If the Gators can hang in there I wouldn't rule them out in the fourth quarter when the Utes are drowning in sweat. If this game were in SLC I wouldn't give Florida much of a chance because Utah is really good. But the drastic climate change gives UF a chance.

You may want to relook at that.

Yes, they return 8 of there offensive starters from their 40th ranked offense. But, two of those starters they lost, are their Center and Left tackle.

On defense they lost 6 starters including their All American linebacker.

I am not saying we will win. But, breaking in a new center and left tackle in The Swamp in Labor day weekend won't be easy.

Gator LBs will have to learn how to stay home with Utah having a good dual threat qb.

Mullen is gone and a new dawn awaits. This is the key. I like Florida in this game to win.
