In the press conference today, Sam said KJs shoulder got hurt the Thursday before A&M… would make sense or is the rewriting history?

I basically said as much two weeks ago. I had heard he had an injury causing problems with his throwing motion.

You remember all of the "KJ is a glorified tight end " talk? Then he goes out and throws 5 td after a little healing

Yes, I started it.

He still doesn’t have a touch pass, and he hasn’t for the past two years. He is either deep or 2 feet above peoples head making receivers stretch out and get wrecked. The ball is either too far forward to be caught on the run or behind them.

But he does throw it deep amazingly.

This would make sense if he didn't also struggle against everyone but Missouri State up to that point as well.

We all like KJ but there's nothing wrong with admitting he's not a perfect QB. It's not a hot take that he isn't accurate and wastes a lot of good routes with bad throws. All you have to do is watch the games. You don't even have to cherry pick. It's damn near every single throw over the middle causing receivers to either jump to catch it or extend their arms over their heads and expose themselves. If it's not that, it's a step behind them causing them to halt the route.

There's a reason his only two 300 yard games were against teams of BYU's and Missouri State's caliber. Everyone wants to point at the box score but ignore the opponent he's doing it against. Hell, he could barely complete a pass against BYU until about 5 minutes left in the first half due to the exact same issues but everyone forgets that part.

He very well may turn the corner and start throwing dots for the rest of the season, but so far all I've seen is him struggle against defenses with a pulse and feast on the two terrible squads he's gotten to play so far. Nothing changed except the quality of opponent.
