No. The 2021 Bama draft class was different than pretty much every other year

Mac: Second in Rookie of the Year Voting

Waddle: 1000 Yard Receiver

Smith: 1000 Yard Receiver

Najee: 1000 Yard Rusher

Surtain: Ranked the #7 Corner in all the NFL by NFL coaches, execs, and players

Barmore: Looked like a future Pro-Bowl DL

Dickerson: Starter as a rookie

Leatherwood: Starter as a rookie

That's fair.

I mean Jesus Christ if someone were asked to define a rebuild, they would probably say;

1. Lost a ton of high end starters

2. Wildly inconsistent team

3. A significant drop off from the previous year

Saban makes that point and everyone loses their fricking minds

All of those hurt but losing both 1 and 2 WR with a piss poor OL that was intact all year was a recipe for disaster. Last years team was not close to his best and the fact he almost won a NC with that group proves he’s a great coach and not just winning with talent. I don’t think he is softer I think he has to become what the kids of this generation want.
