what’s hard to understand here?
That is a worse deal than 120 other schools.
It sounds great for fans when a coach starts the strategy.
When the strategy creates tension with recruits, the fan base turn on the strategy. It takes a couple of years.

What is the fuss about?
It is recruiting , basically all coaches want a commit to be serious
