In his example he is a 40 year old man asking potential child brides out there to commit to him.

He knows what’s out there. He doesn’t want to compete. He doesn’t want the players to do what’s best for them.

Venables has about as much of a mega church pastor vibe of any coach in today.

Quite the opposite. He is telling recruits to go visit other schools “before” they commit. Then if they still want OU its with conviction knowing whats out there. This method means he’ll have later classes than others. And so far its working, look how far they jumped in just July with 9 commits alone this month.

In your thinking a coach would not want kids to visit and would want them to commit right now. BV is telling them to go visit first. He’s looking for quality kids and giving them every chance to go sew their oats first.

CBV has who he wants with his recruitment of players. You're exactly right the players are doing what's best for them, our head coach our cordinators, assistant coaches are doing an excellent job. OU is
strengthening the monster in Norman for the SEC move. It will be fun boy's.
