Dude, the only reason Tenn won in 98 is because Florida states’ starting QB couldn’t play. Y’all almost lost to Miss state in the SEC championship. They were beating y’all in the 4th quarter. That is one of the shittiest championship teams in the history of football.

Undefeated, untied. SEC division and conference champions, 1st ever BCS championship. The 1st real national title. Bama has 1 undefeated and LSU has 1.

1998 Tennessee
1999 FSU
2000 OU
2001 Miami
2002 tOSU
2003 no clear championship
2004 Vacated
2005 awarded to Texas
2006 awarded to Florida
2007 awarded to LSU
2008 awarded to Florida
2009 Alabama
2010 Auburn
2011 awarded to Alabama
2012 awarded to Alabama
2013 FSU
2014 awarded to tOSU *playoff
2015 awarded to Alabama *playoff
2016 awarded to Clemson *playoff
2017 awarded to Alabama *playoff
2018 Clemson *playoff
2019 LSU *playoff
2020 Alabama *playoff **covid year
2021 awarded to UGA *playoff

10 actual undefeated untied conference champions, National Championships. The rest are legitimate and recognized, but lesser. A loss isn’t the end of the world, but not winning your conference should be a disqualification.
