The Big Ten can make as much money as it wants, but will still lose to the SEC in title games. That much will never change.

You have no business sense. The players are going to be following the money. And the money gap between the B1G and everyone else is only going to grow. Why would an elite player stay in the south when he can go north and make more. It would not surprise me to see athletes fulfill their senior year of eligibility because the B1G will pay so well.

You keep saying this but I have a feeling you may have no business sense

B1G in the last century (especially after WW II and the GI Bill) had big state schools in high population states. They also had a monopoly on the auto business which greatly enhanced the wealth of MI + IN + OH in particular. It also meant migration North for higher paying Industrial jobs after WW II.

Now they make cars in KY, SC, TN, and AL and folks are now moving south for the weather and the jobs. SEC has product across sports and has had it since WWI but in the early days the media was on the East or West coast or around a mega city like Chicago (where 75% of the state lives in the major city, highly unusual) and the SEC got shortchanged not having those media hubs. B1G had crappy product (but the NCAA monopoly under the Beyers dictatorship) but had lots of bodies to tune into the local teams.

That has changed as folks are moving south and within a generation the population advantage of the B1G will be gone but the product will still be inferior. You say follow the $$$$ but you fail to see that money is moving south, not north.

What are the Big 10 teams going to pay the athletes with? NIL is for the boosters, not the universities.

But you want to talk about money, do you really think any Big Ten Team can match Texas and Oklahoma oil money? Walmart? Coke? Huntsville and Raleigh/Chapel Hill/Durham have the two largest research parks in the country (both in the top four in the world), does the Big Ten beat that?

The southern schools have just as nice or better athletic facilities and put more players in the pros than the Big Ten. Not only that, but the southern schools actually play for and win national titles. Players see that, and choose their schools accordingly.

Like I have said, the Big Ten can make all the money in the world, and it will be the Southern schools that are winning all the National Titles. Winning titles brings eyes to the TV and money to the athletic coffers as advertisers and steamers see that and go with the winners.

The Big Ten has gone into huge PRO markets where their product will be fourth at best. I doubt the expected payout that Big Ten is predicting will show up as advertisers and streamers have to make a choice where to put their money in those markets.

No child, it is you that has no business sense, not even close.
