I never said he shouldn't have been fired or anything. I just see him get a lot more shite than Dooley which I find weird because Dooley actually had a losing record in his tenure.

Dooley gets shite on, but it's been almost 10 years and as bad as Tennessee was then, it wasn't a nail in coffin thing. If Tennessee hires a proven guy, or even a retread, with the instate talent for 2014 and 2015 being largely highly touted guys, the results would be the same. There were decent coordinators kicking around, Kingsbury could have been had if they had paid the money, honestly Leach was there for the taking, hell Mack Brown wasn't doing anything then. But they fell for the Big East coaching trap that's gotten so many people before and since. Brian Kelly, Kevin Sumlin(only temporarily, and only with the resources at A&M) and Bobby Petrino are the only two from the post Miami VT Big East era that have been successful in the P5. Rodriguez, Strong, Jones, Taggart, Norvell, Fuente, Frost, Herman all failed, although I think Herman might still be a half decent coach, just weird as frick.
