For the last 25 years or so, no doubt VT has had the upper hand on UVA. But my old buds in Blacksburg tell me that everything is pretty much in a state of flux there with the new coach and all. They are not the kind of program that can just go out and hire a top-of-the-line coach. Even Beamer was a first-time head coach when he was hired at VT. UVA has a more stable situation right now, and they have recruited a bit better in the last couple of years too. I give them the edge right now, but that could change quickly if Pry is the real deal.
