Are you so stupid to think teams give a shite about Bowl Games today? Most coaches use the practice to have an early spring with underclassman. Unless it is a Florida Bowl or the Sugar Bowl, kids only make the trip to meet a requirement. I guess UGA fans are used to be an afterthought in late December, but things have really changed since the CFP.

It was a NY6 bowl.

Not the farmersonly.com bowl.

In ATLANTA.
I bet the players were excited about that 85 mile trip. Love the beaches and the sun in January.

We know UGA fans are now experts on the subject.

It appears they were as excited about that game in Atlanta vs. UCF as they were a few weeks earlier in Atlanta vs. UGA.

3 playoff wins in 5 seasons is pretty good. Thank god for Kirby, or else we would be auburn right now.

Hey now, they ALMOST made the playoffs that one year. Right after they gave Gus a billion dollar raise or whatever for lucking into two wins.

They had everything to play for in the first game, so some played injured. The UCF game was just something they were forced to play, some key players decided to skip.

Two appearances against inferior talent explains two wins. The only real win was against Bama last year. I guess Kirby is good at getting his arse handed to him in the first game and winning the rematch. He may be the new Mr. Mulligan.

We won 12 games by 15 points or more.

Kirby is pretty good at taking care of business.

But would not have made the CFP without a Mulligan the first time or a NC the second time . He is the new Mr Mulligan. I wonder how many NC Bryant or Bowden would have if they were given so many opportunities for rematches.

you just constantly move the goalposts anytime a point goes against you. Your entire arguemnt has been that mediocre auburn has only been held back from winning more because they play in the gauntlet that is the sec west. And that UGA beneftis by getting to play int he easier east. That's what you've been parroting for pages. So now we have 30 years of date, not a one-off here or an exception there...3 decades of raw irrefutable data. And is shows us that UGA has performed quite a bit better against the gauntlet west than AU has against the easy east.

quote:

Remember when UF and UT were good?

yeah, they were really good for over a decade when we were average. Just like LSu/bama have been really good lately while AU has been average. Sometimes, other teams are just better than you. It's not because of shceduling woes or because you had to play a team on the road some year or didn't get a bye week at a certain time, it's because they're just better.

MSU and OM went through a phase of being physical.

this is woefully stupid. Can you quantify "being physical" for us?

tell us about how strong the west was in the 90s

Oh, I'm pretty sure most do not care about them.

I would think Auburn could beat a G5 team in a practice, though. Apparently not. Probably that tough gauntlet Auburn plays.

On the contrary, we have made two playoff appearances. How many has Auburn made? I don't remember.

And the oly reason you feel this way is because Auburn sucks at rematches. But, they pretty much suck in one off games, too. 5 losses a year for the past 8?

What do you think the chances are that Auburn finishes with fewer than 5 losses this coming season?

Didn't move the goalpost. I just showed where your logic is too simple and doesn't really dig into the facts. I even gave you questions that would show the truth. I never doubted you all would avoid them.

The difference between good amoungst other good teams vs being good alone is the gap between the SECW vs the SECE. The traditional good teams in the East have struggle as much the last 10 years as they have in their history. Especially UT. UGA had no excuse from being like LSU and Bama.

Physical teams run the ball and play tough Defense. Ark and MSU were some of the most physical teams in the country. Ole Miss tried. Playing teams like those makes a difference when you string 4 or 5 games like that in a row.

We were talking since Saban joined the league. As much as I dislike Bama fans, I admire Saban. He changed the league and its style. Even Spurrier became an afterthought. Lazy coaching was force out of the league. TT was proof of that.

But Auburn isn't good amongst other good teams OR good alone. 5 losses a year is not good by any stretch, much less for 8 straight years.

Funny. This all started because you made a comment about our "broom closet trophy case".
Of the BIG 6 members Auburn has the smallest trophy case. Irony is ironic, isn't it?

I know, I know. Gauntlet. Odd that it doesn't seem to bother LSU and they aren't the Flagship University or in Georgia with all thta talent.

Auburn, laughingstock.
