Y'know, all that sounds great and logical.

However, let me just say: Georgetown basketball in the 80's. Go research Georgetown (the university) a bit, and then tell me they are a likely candidate to field an elite athletic program.

Now, football is a whole other animal than basketball, but the principle is similar.

It's not remotely similar.

Hell,look at Gonzaga today.Middle of nowhere,average facilities at best and certainly isn't rolling in money.

Hell,Baylor won a NC in basketball recently.

CFB is a different animal all together
You better be prepared to spend hundreds of millions on facilities and coaching staffs if you wanna think about competing for a NC
