Wow. Funny. That really really looked like the ref got in position, broke down, and delivered the touchdown saving hit. Nice.

I was listening to the cocks radio announcer calling the game on my way out last night when that play happened. He was pissed. Pretty funny. I think if that had happened to LSU, conspiracy theories over the refs would be flying for at least 6 months about that play.

Honestly from that angle it looked like the ref stepped into it and led with his forearm. One would expect him to step back with his right foot to allow the QB through like I have seen in other games.

That said, Garcia was going to get nailed either way by the LSU tackler.

No doubt...the scoreboard would have shut down last night if that had happened to LSU or any other team. That was intentional. I bet he is suspended to being a sideline ref for that shite.

From that angle, it certainly looked intentional. If it was, then USC should certainly be pissed about it. FWIW, though, he wouldn't have scored anyway because we had people in position. Well, given our tackling of late, I guess I should say he PROBABLY wouldn't have scored.

Also, however, the same official delivered key blocks FOR the Gamecocks on LSU defenders pursuing ball carriers or covering receivers on at least two other plays. I don't know what that guy's problem was.

Hell, maybe the ref was having a bad week. Maybe his wife/girlfriend has been nagging and bitching all week or maybe he isn't getting any and just needed to hit somebody last night. That could be a possibility too.

OMG! I know it wasn't intentional, but it sure looks like the ref said "I see ya. Bring it, bring it. Oh no you don't!"

How could that have been anything but intentional. He played down the line of scrimmage and then went at the player and hit him. It was unbelievable!!!

That was a travesty. The same ref got in the way of Kelvin Sheppard a few plays before, which enabled USC's TE to get a huge gain.

He needs to move to the sidelines and hold the chains.

i'm sure the whiney uscjr. fans will be watching this one for days. this is the same group of people who made a compilation of suppossed bad calls against them last year when we played them.

i hope the cock fans will watch it over and over. they'll still be uscjr. though, which sucks for them.

The ref was trying to make up for giving SCU a imaginary touchdown on 4th down in the 1st half!! I CALL IT PAR FOR THE COURSE

Maybe the LSU defensive captain offered a beer to whoever stops the next play?
