Muschamp should be ranked #2 for being hired by Florida, a program with the cachet to hire almost whoever they want who inexplicably opted for a failed retread from another school in their own division.

I think Muschamp was the head coaching in waiting at Texas behind Mac Brown when he took the Florida job …and he left as DC at Auburn to be the DC at Texas before that. He wasn’t a retread and was probably the hottest name in coaching at the time.

um. I think you have it backwards. UF hired Muschamp from his position as "coach in waiting" at UT. It was USC that hired Muschamp after he crapped out at UF. Its confusing because UF is now on its 4th coach since Urbs quit.
