I was hypothesizing that the NCAA would target a lower value school.

However, I think A&M is about to be made an example of.

I've yet to see Nick Saban come out a publicly address something that wasn't soon after either altered or changed.

Had Jimbo kept a level head and let it ride, it would have been fine.

But now? Every network is talking about this. Articles, news reports, attention. You simply can't ignore it now.

And if the NCAA sniffs around A&M , they will end up finding something. NCAA has been a laughingstock for awhile now and I think A&M will be used to flex their dumbass muscles.

To be clear , I don't think A&M should get hit for abusing the system. They tried to do what it takes to win and I respect that.

I disagree. The number 1 next to the recruiting class a year removed from a below average season is (let's be honest here) a giant flag that says "hey come look here".

No… A&M is the example. Everyone else will ride out. Heck y’all have enough money y’all should be able to sustain a few years without post season play.

The moment the NCAA tries to take the money out of kids hands is the moment they go out of business.

Cats out the bag and these kids ain’t changing.

From the article:

While the public bickering between two college football giants

Are we really referring to ATM/Jimbo as a college football "giant" now?

I think you are conflating kids getting paid for NIL deals as college athletes and high schoolers getting lured to schools with money. NIL is meant to let college athletes get paid for business activity that uses their names, images, or likenesses to make money, not be bribed to attend one school rather than another.

.... Was Saban bickering w/Kirby, Dabo, Ryan Day, Lincoln Riley or Brian Kelly? 8&4Feit & Jumbo are not close to a CFB giant, more like a door mat

Oh please. Can we just stop with this facade? Sure, it was intended to provide endorsement opportunities, but to think NIL is anything other than bribing or paying for players to go to a specific school is laughable.

Seriously, what self-respecting millionaire or financially sound business would throw millions at some random HS kid with no proven marketability or market value? Only those run by stupid boosters desperate for relevance.

Article says nothing will happen anytime soon. And there is nothing specific to aTm. You chubs are just hoping it happens. And we here in Texas will lobby our state politicians to give our two largest schools the advantage. All legal man.

Legal? Sure. No one here gives a rat's arse about legal. That doesn't mean it will fly with the SEC or NCAA.

NIL is Transparent. Some people think players were never paid. How many Cars were given to players. How much cash was given under the table. 99% of University coaches are guilty. Some are mad because they are losing their advantage in recruiting. Why should they be mad. Use NIL like everyone else. Cut your coaches pay buy some players. World as always been about the have’s and the have not’s.
