Corey Grant RB from Alabama to Auburn. Saban said he'd release him to anywhere but Auburn. Grant never told him where he wanted to go, so he walked in at Auburn.

But by transferring to Auburn, Grant automatically had to sit out year because of NCAA transfer rules. Saban’s decision to withhold his scholarship meant he’d lose money in addition to playing time. He’d have to walk onto the Auburn team and pay his own way that first year and then until he earned a scholarship.
