Being a long time Gamecock fan I'm used to being let down by football, I'm used to being let down by basketball but the 1thing I could always count on was Gamecock baseball. I remember the only thing we worried about was where our National seed was going to be but now...

No they were actually alluding to the rumors about Tanner retiring in the next year or so. I didn't realize he's already been our AD for 10 years and apparently that's longer than most ADs last at a school for one reason or another.

I guess the idea is if Tanner is leaving soon then he probably shouldn't be hiring any new coaches. Plus, who would want to coach here knowing the AD that hired you could be leaving before your first contract is over.

I know it's confusing bc he just hired Paris, but maybe something about RT's job status has changed recently.
