John Drew died April 10, of bone cancer. He had a great career with the Atlanta Hawks until cocaine got him down. He was eventually banned from the NBA.

Cocaine got him suspended three times. He went to rehab a fourth time after his last suspension and when he applied for reinstatement Stern refused him because of that. He admitted using cocaine for 5 years before his final suspension, and continuing after that.
