Starting safety Chris Smith is back. He missed alot of time last year due to nagging injuries so you didn't hear his name called alot, but he was the starter, and still is.
Ringo is back.
Dirty Dan Jackson (our white safety) is back and supposedly quicker in We Talkin' Bout Practice notes.
The starters will be fine, it's depth that could potentially be an issue.
But remember... going into last year, and through the early season, the narrative was that UGA's secondary was weak and shallow. They turned out ok.

Tykee smith is still out this spring. But he will be back as well.
Ameer Speed transferred to Michigan State (he was Ringo's backup at the end of the season). He wouldnt have transferred if he was going to win the corner spot opposite ringo (with Kendrick going to the NFL).
I agree that our starters should be fine. It is the depth where we will have to keep working the dawgs this spring and summer. But the recruiting has been there. We should be fine after the fall grind.
