The NCAA literally changed minor violations to level 1 violations in the middle of an investigation against Ole Miss to make the punishments more severe. They also allowed witness testimony from a player of a rival school to say he got payments from Ole Miss and Mississippi State during his recruitment. They then gave that player and State immunity from punishments.

The NCAA doesn’t use logic. They will literally change their own rules in order to punish whoever they are after.
