Take a look a CfB history or even the present dynamics. Alabama is not alone in this, and your latching onto it and missing the bigger picture only shows your own bias. Likely nothing will change your view of the narrative you have latched onto, so good day.

No doubt they are not alone in this. They just perfected it to the point that NCAA stopped bothering to regulate it, mainly because they couldn't. So they opened the gate and said let the free market dictate. I am taking a look at CFB history when I say that CFB players have been "professionals" for decades. They finally got around to making it official.
