Check out the gash in his head at around 2:20, the camera willl zoom in on it and you can see what looks like a shaved spot on his head and a suture line. Maybe he and Tubbs threw down.

I feel bad for the guy. It's got to be humiliating to be fired in the middle of a season after taking over an offense that was shite arse the year before and because your head coach has appeared to not been as successful recruiting as he perhaps once was.
And it would really be a raw deal if it's true he wasn't allowed to do with the offense what he wanted to do with it. I always wondered whether or not Tubs would allow Franklin to go all out with the spread when they got the backs they got.

What's even worse is that when he got hired, he was on the Finebaum show talking about how he thought TT was a great coach because he allowed his coaches to talk to the media and didn't "take away first amendment rights," (an obvious shot at Nick Saban, or at least coaches like him) and now just this week TT forbade his coaches from speaking to the press.

Damn, that was below the belt, in a way... Feel for the guy, understand Tubbs doing what he has to do though.... Wow, a conundrum.... Wait, nevermind, Bama, and LSU battle it out for the West. Gottta love the SEC... Not saying that AU won't go 10-2 , and Tubbs coach of the year, , but you never know with the NCAA. Imagine if we had playoffs........
