And funnel that talent to Auburn for first pickings, and any and all other schools after that. I have vested personal interests and connections within all parties and have been working on gathering tape, measurables, bios, etc. of in order, 1) Filipino hoop talent. I have been there and seen it. I was getting my old arse run up and down sloped gravel-strewn public courts in the outskirts (slums) of Cebu City, 2nd largest city is basketball crazed Philippines the day Kobe and his daughter died. I have about 6 people identifying and scouting the top 10-15 up and comers, and an ex-girlfriend but / and absolute top-notch career marketer to help package them up and promote them.

A friend of 25 years who rose up through the ranks of Yazaki Corporation, my former company's client company, in Samoa is now "the" connected person in Samoa, and Oliver, and his former coworker Doug were both ruggers. I believe I could pull the best comparable athletes from Samoa to Auburn. And not just Samoa, maybe.

And frick Gonzaga. Rui Hachimura went to Gonzaga. Why is that? I don't know, but frick if I care to let that happen again.

I have never, EVER claimed to be an "insider" with any news worthy of posting. Exactly the opposite. Which is why I am now asking for ideas and helping with both hoops and football and locking down pipelines to AU in this area. If you don't realize the influx of European or African talent to certain schools for certain reasons, but MUCH MORE important if you dig further is that SOMEONE was a key person in getting that talent signed. Maybe it only took a some video highlights, an introduction and a firm handshake. So....as it seems our "insiders" are full of shite and have no idea which end is up, how about we try some "outsiders" like me.

Any advice / ideas / NIL opportunities? Seems like the Wild West, so I am all Crazy East.

Give me some workable ideas and I will get on it. I have been on it for a while. TIA and War Eagle.

If you know of good linemen then float the names to the staff and if they are interested make the connection. I am sure someone on this board does have a connection into the team through a channel.

Thank you. I actually did spend 20 minutes explaining why and how and it seems this POS site autorefreshed and my message was gone. Or, I deleted it by accident, but don't think so.

So....how about this Auburn frickers. Greygoose puts his money where his mouth is. Go Goose.

Anyone willing to take any odds on me finding, steering, guiding the very best Japanese, Filipino and Samoan athletic talent to Auburn? Really?

Put your money where your mouth is. Let's go.

Or..shut the frick up and take up some unused somewhere with access to the internet and let other people do what you want done. Just shut up and watch. Be bitches or encourage and help. EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU - it IS your choice. Be part of the problem, or TRY to be better. Be better. I am just an indispensable nobody, but maybe my time has come. I will stand and work for Auburn. I choose too, glad-fully.

War Eagle.

Gonna be hard steering them away from the Mormon schools. Seems like the LDS Church missionaries have done a real good job getting them converted.

Sorry, no, I really don't believe so. Missions and missionaries have reached out and welcomed basically....anyone.

AU has never pushed for anyone, YET, over this way, and it is a shame, and I will do my best to correct that.

No apologies. My first 24 years in Auburn and have been in Japan (Asia) since '94. Traveled some, met many people. Always rep AU with a cap and / or tee everywhere, especially when in Tokyo or trips to the airports. Why? Because my AU T'a are my best tees, holes, stains, all. My nearly ex-wife hated my "style" of clothing. All AU lounge wear, sweats, T's, caps. She is not anti Auburn. She lived with my Mom in Auburn for a year, our second year of marriage. She became an AU football fan that year when she finally got the gist of everything, but still resented me for wearing my worn-out threads.

I have seen too many wide eyed GI's coming through Narita and Haneda Airports. And honestly, I most often wanted to welcome them to Japan rivalries aside. Perspective and all that. And over many years, I have seen all ranks of our military pass through Camp Fuji right here, and the SEC is always well represented. Lots of caps and tees, and it's like " War Eagle!" and "Let's go Faggies!" and then sit down and have a few beers and several LSU folks and UT, Bama folks will sit around and we all shoot the shite about what life is like in the States and Japan, sports, and all is good with the SEC wrecking the world. It is not hard to understand. It's just perspective (and experience). No matter how far you wish to go, sometimes it is good to get out and just go. See what happens or who you might meet. It is an amazingly small world if anyone will sit down and talk with anyone else. I am always happy and privileged to share a beers with anyone I come across. Wear your colors when you travel, even if you are...lol...Georgia came to mind first because of hoops mostly and I see uga caps from time to time, but TBH, frick and praise Auburn because we are Auburn and add that Au element to the SEC like no other team evar.

Come visit, everyone. War Eagle. Work in progress.

no way in hell I am proofreading this post. Your crazy if you think soo. Imma push the submit button...

Why not?

Yes? Okay then. Let's begin. War Eagle.

Sorry about most of this. Looks like Old Freemanjiro to me.

Seriously though, amongst a few other strange times in my life, I think I could actually help out so many people just by connecting them. I have too many truly heart-breaking stories from the Philippines. Personal stories, as close to "family" as most imagine you could get I suppose, if we had a few drinks and a good chat. Better yet, head over here and then let's all head to Cebu and check out all kinds of talent. I PROMISE you that you will be impressed, you will have full 24/7 kidney removal protection amongst / if you have any other safety concerns. Short story, but a certain distant cousin fricker tried to scam me for some cash, and his family basically kicked him out and will not have anything to do with him. One night a few months ago I explained the art of rolling things, like trees and whatever. Leaving enough of a tail to unroll the paper if you can throw a decent spiral that requires touch. Actually, now that I thin....nevermind. Anyway, I had a bunch of friends pelt his house with 3 dozen eggs and about 12 rolls of TP. The vid was great. Just like that and they became Auburn fans.

Had a shitty and awesome week. Sorry and thanks for the rant, and everyone should now know clearly that I am no where near HRV status. Speaking of...haven't seen him around lately.

Good night and War Eagle. You guys talkin' Dameyune and those crooters in the "south" might take a peek this way, that way and other ways. NIL has changed recruiting forever and I have no fricking idea how. So.....why not run with it and see how far I / we can go? Want talent in these parts? Then......I can do that. And that. Pretty sure I can do that, and this over here. That one? Nope, I'll tell you later over drinks and companions.

Profit.

IS THIS A RHETORICAL QUESTION??? JUST ASKING.

I have heard you and your Utah / west of the Mississippi we could really use some Pacific Islanders along the lines, etc. stuff long enough.

So, I, for one am working on that because I can. I am not bragging or intending to brag at all. Simply, I am a decent Auburn guy who, as is expected, took extra time and care to build that certain relationship.

It was not recruiting, football, sports, blah related. Our first meeting and relationship after that has been built over decades because Oliver is an awesome person to start (and INCREDIBLY, STILL as connected as they will ever come in American Samoa. One of my room-mates and coworkers at TD's in the 90's was an Auburn Rugger. He was a big guy, built, northern smart arse from Chesapeake Bay but more than enough wit and humor, and he was(is) smart. Fun times. Crawfish Fest and all. I might still have a few shirts.

Having been in the seat you are talking about. Here's how it's handled at Auburn.

I graduated high school in Tokyo. My first visit to Auburn was with my Grandfather. Player, coach and recruiter for Auburn when Shug became Head Coach. He recruited the 56, 57 and 58 teams. Started in 1951. So, I had a bit of an edge in getting time with Shug.

Shug's reply was "We have had plenty of walk on players from Japan and Germany." If interested , report on July 30th.

You did? I am sorry I am just seeking clarification. I didn't know if the quote or story was your own personal experience or someone else's. If you meant YOU graduated in Tokyo (and if so, this was YEARS before I was here, and I have been here a long time...wow.)

And now I know that Lanier and I have met in alternative times and universes. Even through another's alter, possibly.

Crazy shite going on in here I tell ya. The next thing you know, people are just going to come out of the woodwork with all kinds of BS on Harsin. LOLOLOLOLSU. Suck it ALL, everyone. This is Auburn's year in hoops. We deserved a BIT better a few years ago, but most of us don't bitch about the possible double dribble call, whatever. It happens, bang bang. Frick, just look at the Superbowl today and how many AND which penalties were called. The refs let the teams play, as it SHOULD be unless it gets extra chippy and / or dangerous.

Assuming this was more than 50 years ago, I reckon we should try to get on that Japan, Philippine and Samoa train today. Sorry, not sorry, but no shite. I can do things with this.

Anyone else? Make some money. It's a free for all. Do things the right way and put people first. It will all work out for the best for the most people. It is true.

I graduated at Yamato High School in 1972. Next to Tachikawa AFB.

High Schools around Tokyo Us Military ....Chofu, Narimasu, Johnson, Zama, Yokohama, Yamato, There were two Private American High Schools. CAJ (Christian Academy in Japan and American High School in Japan.

Most of those High Schools were built on former Japanese Military bases. For instance, our family base and High School, the main drag was the runway for Zero Fighter Pilots being trained to fight for the Empire.

The schools and family units started closing in 1971. The bases supported recovery for the soldiers wounded in Korea and the Viet Nam war. Yamato High School was a hospital complex used during Korea, where wounded recovered before being sent ot the US. Yamato looked like a small college. One building History, One building Math, one science ect. Two barracks had been renovated to be classes. The seniors had their own grill, there was a cafeteria, athletic fields and one lone gate. We were surrounded by barbed wire.
