One of the top QBs in the country (regardless of where exactly you think he should be ranked), really popular around the ATL area and with other recruits.. and we're going to blow it because he doesn't fit Harsins mold... I want to say so much more, but I'm holding off for now because it won't do anyone good, but when the time is right...
The whole Air Noland thing has been deflating for a while now.

Say it Anonymous message board.
FWIW on the popularity/Atlanta thing, Terrance Love was billed as the electric/magnetic figure around Atlanta because he’s been a star athlete since middle school and literally all these Langston Hughes kids are going separate ways Alston was supposed to be a popular Atlanta kid that would reel in guys and I don’t think that’s happened either.
I don’t really buy the popularity thing. I do think he’s a really talented player though.

It looks to me that they just like Posse better and took him. The whole two-elite QB class in 2024 was never going to materialize (why would both guys come here?). The AU buzz on Noland started fizzling out once it became obvious that Posse's interest was high and he was nearing a decision.
This is the one position where they need to just do their evaluation and pick who they think is the best guy. I don't buy for one second that Noland has any impact on the other elite 2023 Langston Hughes guys (neither Hughley or Thurman are making their decision based off of where their Junior teammate might be going, that's just stupid) so I'm glad that they didn't allow that idea to cloud their decision making.
