Texas, TCU, and Rice have clearly been better. Texas Tech has passed them up. Even Baylor and Houston have had some magical runs that produced close title trips.

Didn’t realize the curse of 1939 extended to all sports. Don’t lose heart, it is only for 100 years and should dissipate in 2039.
