The team would expect to win regardless of what the fans expect, thus, fan expectations do not matter.
I expect LSU to go 8-4 next year, their actual record will not be affected by my expectations at all.
The statement that Alabama football is "good" because of high fan expectations is just moronic and the sign of a major homer.

Kind of "hard" to shell out hard earned money on a team "expected" to lose. Fan expectation is what puts people in the seats of a 100,000 seat stadium. And when stadiums are "full" of fans expecting their team to win, you don't think players "feed" of of that?
