Depends on how you interpret your question….in football, you get much more bias if you’re a “big name”. For example, Bama didn’t even win the division in 2017, much less the conference, and yet there they were. Just like basketball, if there are more teams; the harder it will be to win…and yes I recognize that semifinal games have been but kickings, but I don’t think you’d see those with an extra game or two
