re: off season, looking back in history, for the whiners about how hard their SEC schedule is

A lot of SEC schools played similar schedules back in the 60's and 70's. Here's Bama's schedule in 1978:
#10 Nebraska
at #11 Missouri
#7 USC
Vanderbilt
at Washington
Florida
at Tennessee
Virginia Tech
Mississippi State
#10 LSU
Auburn
#1 Penn State (Sugar Bowl)
4 of their first 5 games were against OOC major conference teams (2 Big 8 & 2 PAC-10). The worst team on their schedule was Virginia Tech (they weren't in a major conference at that time). With the bowl game, Bama played three blue bloods that season...
I would love to see 'em go back to schedules like that but don't see it happening...

I picked a Georgia schedule because I am a Georgia alumnus...
