Today is the 12th anniversary of Saban's first national title at Alabama...

January 7, 2010. Pasadena, CA. #1 Alabama (13-0) vs. #2 Texas (13-0).
Alabama gets the ball to start the game and famously attempts a fake punt deep inside their own territory that is intercepted by Texas's Blake Gideon at the Alabama 37-yard line. Four plays later, after a WR end around for a big gain, Texas had it 1st & 10 at the Tide 11-yard line. It was on that fifth play of the game that Colt McCoy was knocked out of the game by Alabama defensive lineman Marcell Dareus. The rest, as they say, is history:
