What kind of caveats do these NIL deals entail?

On the surface, it seems like there's alot of potential for players to become unmotivated cancers in the locker room. Do these deals come with strict guidelines that need to be abided by, or else there's no payout? I mean, if I got paid gobs of cash as a college freshman, admittedly I might lose focus of the bigger picture if that money was free and clear.
